[ that seems to be a pretty good place to start. ]
Every month, he becomes something he's -- not. Normally, Sirius, Peter, and I -- the three of us keep him in line and make sure he keeps himself safe, but as we're two short and in the depths of space, I need to improvise. He's perfectly harmless so long as he's left alone, but I don't know how he'll react to a new environment.
[ james stops here, though, and he sets his jaw. ]
He's never hurt anyone in his life, and I don't see it changing anytime soon.

All the same, he turns to Alex, and while his voice's soft, it's possible to hear:] Which means I can't hang around the Paisley that night either.
[Talking normally now,] But we'll make it happen. Do either of you think you can use your magic to soundproof a room?

and he's also just defensive of his friends in general.]I don't have my wand, but Atroma trusted Remus with his -- we can soundproof it.
